Acerca de Duván
I am a Spanish and Literature teacher originally from Medellín, Colombia, with academic training as a Spanish Language Teacher. I have nine years of teaching experience, approaching the language from linguistic, literary, artistic and discursive approaches. I have worked with students of all ages and nationalities, and for more than three years I have dedicated myself exclusively to teaching Spanish as a foreign language. My teaching style is based on empathy, clarity and the ability to adapt the content to the needs of each student, creating an environment of trust and meaningful learning.

My teaching approach combines communicative, inductive and personalized techniques aimed at developing confidence and fluency in the use of Spanish from day one. In a typical class, I work with real situations, authentic texts and dynamics that encourage active participation; for example, a session may include a brief contextual presentation, guided practice with oral and written exercises, and a final free production activity. I am characterized by the ability to adapt the content to the interests and objectives of each student, as well as the closeness, clarity in the explanations and creativity in the design of materials. My classes are aimed at teenagers and adults from beginner to advanced level, DELE students, people who study for professional or personal reasons, and those who wish to improve specific skills such as conversation, writing or grammar.

Duvan is an excellent language teacher. I took 2 weeks of private lessons with him in Medellín. He is not only very efficient in teaching grammar, but also a great and very educated conversation partner. He is very interested in topics such as literature, philosophy, politics and cinematography. On the other hand, he is interested in his counterpart and a patient listener. He will also correct your Spanish in a very charming way. I really enjoyed my time with him and improved my Spanish significantly over time.
