Acerca de Gerardo
Even though I was born in Mexico, I grew up in the United
States and lived there for a decade. I have come to know
firsthand the true challenge of learning English as a second
language and successfully overcoming it.
After High School I studied an Arts Degree in Psychology at the University of Phoenix, and when I came back to Mexico I studied a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Audiovisual Media at Centro de Artes Audiovisuales.
Given my English expertise I worked as a freelance translator for the Guadalajara International Film Festival for six consecutive years. Moreover, I coordinated the Q&A sessions during the entire festival week, translating simultaneously for their most illustrious guests. In addition to negotiating daily with international producers and distributors in English, Spanish,
and sometimes French. Among other things.

As far as the teaching method goes I create a very interactive and memorable class, intertwining theoretical practices with activities, games and exercises utilizing current references.
The classes are peppered with new vocabulary and grammar structure in topics such as: reading, writing, speaking, listening, compehension or fluency as a whole.
