My mission is to foster the development of linguistic and communicative competencies in my students, equipping them to tackle the challenges of an increasingly globalized and multicultural world. I harness the growing interest in Spanish-speaking countries, their rich culture, social vision, geography, economy, and the opportunities they offer for the challenges of the future.

As an educator, I am committed to imparting the teaching of Spanish with passion and dedication. I seek not only to convey linguistic knowledge but also to promote the academic and personal growth of my students. I believe in the transformative power of language learning and its ability to open doors to new perspectives and opportunities.

Listening and Speaking Skills: I dedicate a significant portion of my classes to developing listening comprehension and oral expression. I use authentic recordings, simulated dialogues, and pronunciation exercises to improve my students' ability to understand and communicate in Spanish.

Contextualized Grammar and Vocabulary: I integrate the teaching of grammar and vocabulary within relevant and situational communicative contexts. This helps students understand how linguistic structures are used in real life and expand their lexical repertoire organically.

Guided and Autonomous Practice: I facilitate guided practice activities during classes to consolidate learned concepts, followed by opportunities for autonomous practice and application in real-life situations.

Specifics as a Teacher and Focus on Listening Comprehension:

As a teacher, my focus on listening comprehension involves providing my students with a variety of authentic and contextualized materials, such as natural conversations, radio programs, podcasts, and songs. Additionally, I implement pre-listening, during-listening, and post-listening strategies to develop active and passive listening skills. I encourage repetition, identification of the main idea, inference of meaning from context, and practice of selective and detailed listening techniques.

My classes are specifically designed for individuals whose native language is not Spanish and who wish to acquire communicative skills in this language. I recognize and value the linguistic and cultural background of my students and adapt my pedagogical approach to meet their specific learning needs and facilitate their integration into the Spanish-speaking community.

In summary, my goal as a teacher is to provide my students with the linguistic and communicative tools necessary to confidently and fluently interact in Spanish, through a personalized, interactive, and student-centered approach.
