I am a biologist with 31 years of teaching experience in a bilingual school. Throughout my career, I have developed extensive experience in science education, particularly in bilingual academic settings.
I am highly proficient in both English and Spanish, with strong reading comprehension and oral communication skills. This allows me to support students who study Biology in either language.
I also have extensive experience using technology in education, including Google Classroom, virtual learning platforms, and digital resources for academic support. In addition, I guide students in the responsible, critical, and effective use of artificial intelligence tools to support learning and research.

I am an experienced Biology teacher with 29 years of teaching experience, supporting students in developing a deep understanding of biological concepts and the skills needed to succeed in demanding academic programs.
I specialize in AP Biology preparation, helping students strengthen both their conceptual knowledge and their ability to apply it through scientific reasoning, data analysis, experimental design, and exam-style questions.

My teaching approach
I believe that Biology becomes easier when students understand the connections between concepts rather than simply memorizing information.
During our lessons, I identify the areas where the student needs the most support and design the session around those needs. We work through concepts step by step, analyze diagrams and data, practice AP-style questions, and develop strategies for answering both multiple-choice and free-response questions effectively.
My goal is not only to help students prepare for the AP Biology exam, but also to help them become more confident and independent learners.
