I met Luz through a co worker who at the time was doing Spanish lessons with her. She is an amazing superprof super friendly, patient and great teacher. We established a great relationship virtually and then when I went to Peru for vacation I met up with her. She is just as kind in person as she is online. I love getting to know Luz. I feel like I have known her for years. I recommend Luz because she listens and she works on areas that she sees you struggle based on her observations. I appreciate that. I am happy I found Luz and have recommended her multiple times to people. Some are taking classes with her.

I met Luz in 2020 when I started taking lessons with her. She appeared professional, cheerful, energetic, and excited to teach me. She used various tools, books, and websites for teaching. She is good at practicing conversational language and is also very good at teaching grammar.
She is a very fun teacher, really. I always look forward to my lesson time with her knowing that I will learn something new and have fun learning it. Some days, we do online practices on certain subjects. Other days, I read a book to her, which has helped me tremendously in building my vocabulary as well as conjugating and using the subjunctive mode. Sometimes, we watch YouTube videos together and then discuss the theme. I remember how important it was to her that I would write correctly and made me use my cell phone with a spanish keyboard for correct orthography.
I can say with certainty that she has ignited the flame of learning in me, and I have become more comfortable speaking Spanish. If you are looking for a teacher that does more than just following a grammar book, then look no further. Luz is a skilled teacher for all ages.
Actually, my daughter and some of her colleagues started taking lessons from Luz as a professional development activity at work. Conocí a Luz a finales del año 2020 cuando empecé a tomar clases con ella. Pareció profesional, feliz, energética, y emocionada por enseñarme. Ella usó herramientas variadas, libros, y sitios de internet para enseñar. Ella es buena practicante del idioma conversacional y también enseña gramática muy bien.
Luz es una maestra divertida, de verdad. Yo siempre espero mi tiempo de sesión con ella, sabiendo que aprenderá algo de nuevo y divertirme aprendiendolo. Algunos días, practicamos en línea para ciertos sujetos. Otros días, leo un libro, que me ha ayudado tremendamente en desarrollar mi vocabulario y también en conjugando y en el uso del modo de subjuntivo. Algunas veces, nosotras vemos videos de YouTube juntas y después discutimos sobre el tema. Lo importante para Luz era que yo escribiera correctamente; me empujó a usar mi móvil con un teclado español y usando la ortografía correcta.
Puedo decir con certeza que ella encendió la llama de aprendizaje en mi, y me ha vuelto más cómoda hablando espanol. Si está buscando un profesor que haga más que solo siguiendo un libro de gramática, ¡pues no busque más! Luz es una maestra cualificada para todas las edades.
En realidad, mi hija y sus compañeros de trabajo empezaron a tomar lecciones de Luz como una actividad de desarrollo profesional al trabajo. Luz Marina is a good teacher but she has also become a very good friend. She really knows the grammar of Spanish and English . She does not just Speak Spanish with me. But she also teaches me, using every tool at her disposal. I enjoy my lessons with her. I look forward to them because we laugh a lot. Luz is a dependable and trustworthy teacher. She is constantly reviewing and changing the curriculum to fit me. I do not have a good memory, so she needs great patience to repeat what she has taught me over and over again!!She is kind, understanding, patient AND professional! I highly recommend her and look forward to many more years of Spanish lessons with her!
