Acerca de Katy
Originally from Glasgow, I am a native English teacher who has been teaching English in Spain for 8 years now. I previously lived in the north of Spain (Cantabria & País Vasco), but I am now based in Ibiza, where I teach English in an international school. I am open to having classes in person or online.

I have experience teaching all of the Cambridge exams, but my specialty is in PET, FCE, CAE & CPE. I am an official speaking examiner for these exams and so I have a unique insight into how this element of the exam is assessed, and what students can do to achieve a higher mark in it. I also have experience teaching IGCSE ESL. However, I am not limited to exam preparation classes. I also enjoy teaching General English & conversation classes.
I have an undergraduate degree in English Literature, as well as a CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults). Most recently, I completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), which qualifies me to work in secondary schools.
My time in Spain has given me a unique insight into the specific challenges Spanish-speakers face when learning English, so I am confident I can help you improve. I have also gone through the process of learning Spanish, so I understand the challenges of language acquisition.
The classes will be tailored to your individual needs and desired outcomes. We will work together to strengthen any weak points and improve your overall confidence - whether this be in relation to speaking, writing or any other skills that you wish to get better at.
