My name is Dana, I am from North Carolina in the states and taught for 4 years there. Now that I live in Mexico City, I want to teach English and help others achieve their language learning dreams. As someone who is learning Spanish, I love that learning a second language opens countless doors and enriches one's life and I am very passionate about being a part of that experience for others.

I believe in active, engaging, student-centered learning. I have experience teaching all levels of English and have worked with both children and adults. My speciality is business English, conversation and writing skills, and English for medical professionals.
Creo en el aprendizaje dinámico, atractivo y enfocado en el estudiante. Tengo experiencia en la enseñanza de todos los niveles de inglés, y he trabajado con niños y adultos. Mi especialidad es inglés de negocios, conversacional y habilidades de escritura, así como inglés para profesionales médicos.
My way of teaching English as a second language is also inspired by the proximity and love for the Latin American cultures and especially the Mexican culture now that I haved lived in Mexico for a year. I have an understanding of the English language needs of my learners and know how to meet these neccesities of my students here in Latin America and from my time teaching latino students English in the States.
Mi enfoque para la enseñanza del inglés como segunda lengua también se basa en el acercamiento y cariño que tengo por la cultura latina y particularmente mexicana ya que vivo en México desde hace un año, por lo que conozco y sé cómo trabajar en las necesidades de los estudiantes latinos desde que inicié mi profesión en Estados Unidos.
