Acerca de Leandro Heli

¡Hola! I'm Leandro, a passionate native Spanish speaker hailing from the vibrant landscapes of Colombia. Growing up immersed in the rich Colombian culture, I've always been fascinated by the power of language to bridge worlds and create meaningful connections.

I pursued a Bachelor's degree in Modern Languages, where for eight enriching semesters, I delved deep into the nuances of linguistics and the art of communication. This academic journey ignited my love for teaching and equipped me with a profound understanding of how we learn and interact through language.

Over the past two years, I've dedicated myself to being a freelance Spanish teacher, sharing not just the mechanics of the language but also the soul and rhythm that make Spanish so enchanting. My classes are more than lessons—they're cultural exchanges where we explore idioms, traditions, and the diverse tapestries that make up the Spanish-speaking world.

Beyond teaching, I've worked in various customer service roles with multinational companies. This experience has been transformative, allowing me to interact with people from all corners of the globe. It hasn't just honed my communication skills; it's broadened my horizons and deepened my appreciation for different cultures. These interactions have enriched my teaching approach, making it more inclusive and attuned to the unique backgrounds of my students.

What I Bring to Our Lessons:

Cultural Immersion: Incorporating stories, music, and traditions from Colombia and other Spanish-speaking countries to make learning lively and contextual.

Personalized Approach: Tailoring each session to your interests and goals, ensuring that learning Spanish is both enjoyable and relevant to you.

Interactive Learning: Engaging in conversations, role-plays, and practical scenarios that build confidence and fluency.

Global Perspective: Leveraging my multicultural experiences to connect with you, no matter where you come from.

I'm excited to embark on this linguistic journey with you! Together, we'll not only master the Spanish language but also unlock new perspectives and experiences. Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your skills, I'm here to guide you every step of the way.

Feel free to reach out, and let's make your Spanish learning adventure unforgettable!

I was told that if I wanted to learn Spanish, I shoud do it with a native person because it was better since of course they would know better about their own culture and language. At first I did not listen and I had a terrible experience with an American teacher, she could not even have a conversation with one my friends who was from Mexico. So I decided to find a teacher that was a native Spanish speaker and I found Leandro. From the very first class I realized I had finally made the right call with him. He was knowledgeable, kind, funny and most of all, he actually spoke Spanish!

I met Leandro when I was visiting the Caribbean Coast in Colombia. We had a great conversation and he offered to teach me Spanish so I accepted. I never imagined how amazing the Hispanic culture is and how many things you can enjoy from it starting on the food, music and more. Leandro introduced me to a fantastic world that was unknown to me and I will be forever thankful for it.
