Acerca de David
As a professional and entrepreneur with over 20 years of business experience, I’ve now returned to study at Harvard University in pursuit of my Ph.D. At the same time, I love teaching, and have been teaching English online and in-class as a Cambridge-certified professor for the last few years. I strive to bring this background to my English classes, which are customized to the specific needs of my students, whether that's for the classroom, the boardroom, or the investment pitch, and I’m very comfortable using online tools and showing you how to learn in an online format.
With a focus on ambitious teens, adult learners, and executives, I use my extensive knowledge in management theory and behavioral psychology to help students develop their language skills and communication abilities in a way that is relevant and practical to their academic and professional lives. Whether you need to improve your fluency for your school work, presentations, or negotiations, I can provide customized lessons that address your specific needs and goals. I’m comfortable with a wide range of learners, from beginners just getting started in the language, up to and including those working at the near-native and native (C1/C2) levels.

My teaching style is highly interactive and engaging, with a focus on communication and real-life scenarios. I use a variety of materials and resources, including authentic business texts, news articles, and case studies, to create a dynamic and challenging learning environment. As an American, you’ll hear me speaking with a clear and easy-to-follow accent, but we’ll also watch videos from around the world with a variety of English accents so that you can get familiar with those. We will work through the topics and type of material that interests you most so you can develop confidence in expressing yourself.
Learning and developing in a new language is often challenging for adults - you’re smart, and you know how to communicate your thoughts in your native language, but trying to do the same in English can really hurt that feeling of self-confidence. I know that feeling! Overall, my aim is to help you achieve your language goals and improve your confidence and effectiveness in your communication. Let's work together to ensure your success!
