I met Milton when I still said hola with a strong h and thought embarazada meant embarrassing he taught me Spanish alongside many lessons of life, history and culture. He has written books in different languages, owns a drama company and is a little too into doctor who….

He uses all of this to create engaging and effective lessons that go beyond grammar and pronunciation. He explains things clearly, has solid pedagogical foundations and is organised, punctual and adaptable.

Last I checked he had a pretty good store of hand puppets if you want lessons for your kinds too ;) I have seen him teach well to diverse audiences

Milthon is an excellent Spanish teacher, not only does he have a deep understanding of the language, he makes learning fun and engaging! He also speaks great English. A very good teacher!

I have been taking classes with Milthon for almost 3 months now and it has helped me so much. I prefer private lessons as you have a non judgmental space to learn and can go at your own speed. He is very flexible in finding a schedule that will work for you. I took Spanish classes for 4 years in school and have learned and retained more with Milthon than in a traditional setting. I encourage anyone who is looking to improve their Spanish take classes with him no matter what level you’re at. His English is also very good which helps with learning and understanding. Learning a new language is hard but it should be fun so if that’s what you’re looking for he’s the best teacher for you.

Over the years, I have enrolled myself, the my family, classes at language schools throughout Latin America. I attained fluency and later worked in the region. Later, when I wanted my wife and children to improve their Spanish, I researched dozens of schools, focusing on those with the highest online reviews. Ultimately, we found a great school, where we met Milton. In all my experience, I have never encountered an instructor as gifted as Milton. He has an incredible ability to engage and instruct anyone, from a shy 8-year-old struggling with the imperfect to a 50-year-old engineer curious about the intracacies of linguistic theory. Milton combines passion, drive, and intelligence in a way that inspires students and awakens their capacity to understand and learn. I saw it with my wife and my two boys, one of whom has autism. He meets each student where they are. And, for the record, nobody, and I mean nobody can explain the imperfect subjunctive better. While there may be those with higher degrees from more prestigious institutions between Tierra del Fuego and the Tijuana, you'll be hard-pressed to find someone who can match Milton's blend of knowledge, passion, and talent for delivering an exceptional Spanish learning experience.

I had the pleasure of working with Milthon both online and in person at Spanish Adventure in Colombia, and I must say he is an exceptional Spanish teacher. Not only is he able to teach students of all levels, but he also has an impressive level of English and a deep understanding of languages in general. Milthon's knowledge of language goes beyond just teaching Spanish; he has an interest in the etymology of words and can explain where different words come from and how they evolved over time. For example, he explained to me the origin of the word Ojala and how it came from the presence of the Muslim empire in Spain. This added layer of knowledge gave me a greater appreciation for the Spanish language and helped me understand it in a deeper way. Milthon's teaching style is both engaging and effective. He tailors his lessons to the specific needs and levels of his students, and he is always patient, encouraging, and willing to answer any questions. Additionally, he incorporates cultural aspects into his lessons, giving me a deeper understanding of the Spanish-speaking world. Finally, the fact that Milthon has so much experience teaching Spanish, including in person at a Spanish school in Colombia, separates him from other teachers on Preply. I cannot recommend Milthon enough, anyone would be lucky to have him as their teacher.
