¡Hola! My name is Maria Mercedes and I am originally from Cuba and have been living in the Netherlands since 1993. I originally graduated in Education and Translation and Interpreting Spanish/English at the Instituto Superior de Lenguas Extranjeras Pablo Lafargue in Havana, Cuba. In 1996 I successfully completed the State Exam Dutch -as a second language- and since then I have been committed to guiding Dutch speakers in learning the Spanish language and culture. In addition to teaching, I have extensive experience in developing teaching materials and learning methods. I am ready to help you master Dutch in a practical and fun way! Oorspronkelijk ben ik afgestudeerd in Onderwijs en Vertaling en Tolken Spaans/Engels aan het Instituto Superior de Lenguas Extranjeras Pablo Lafargue in Havana, Cuba. In 1996 heb ik het Staatsexamen Nederlands -als tweede taal- succesvol afgerond en sindsdien zet ik mij in om Nederlandstaligen te begeleiden bij het leren van de Spaanse taal en cultuur. Naast het lesgeven heb ik ruime ervaring in het ontwikkelen van lesmaterialen en leermethoden. Ik sta klaar om je te helpen het Nederlands op een praktische en leuke manier onder de knie te krijgen!
