Acerca de CAROLINA
Hola!

Hello!
I’m Carolina, a professional oboist with a degree in Oboe Performance. I was trained through El Sistema in Venezuela, where I had the opportunity to play a wide variety of classical music in wind bands, orchestras, chamber music ensembles and other formats.
Teaching has been part of my musical journey almost from the very beginning. In El Sistema, we were encouraged to share what we knew, whether we were beginners or more advanced musicians, so teaching became a natural part of my development as a musician.
One of the things I value most about music is everything it has allowed me to experience beyond the music itself: discovering different cultures, musical traditions and ways of seeing the world. I believe these experiences have made me a more honest, consistent and passionate musician.
The oboe is not an easy instrument. It requires patience, discipline and perseverance before you start seeing the fruits of your work. And honestly, I think that's part of what makes it so rewarding.
So, if you connect with my story and my way of understanding music, I can promise you a passionate and structured teacher who will give her best to provide you with the tools you need to develop as an oboist.
Welcome, brave and frustration-resistant oboists!

The lessons are very individual and, of course, adapted to what you want to achieve. And very often, they also require one very important thing: PATIENCE. We all know that the oboe can be frustrating, right?
With that in mind, my job is to help you recognize what you are learning and how you are progressing, even during the frustrating moments, while gradually building a path towards your goals.
Whether you want to learn a couple of pop songs, prepare for a conservatory entrance exam, or simply learn some solos you really love, you decide where we go.
At the moment, my English is more fluent than my German, but we can start our lessons in Spanish, English and/or German.
You bring the motivation, the oboe and the reeds. I’ll provide the path.
See you soon!
